intro: A gun was fired in Sanford, Fla., on the night of Feb. 26, 2012, and 17-year-old Trayvon Martin died as a result of that gunfire. Almost two months later, George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captian, was charged with murder in the second degree.

Nearly 16 months after that fatal shooting, a jury of six women was selected for Zimmerman's murder trial currently underway in Seminole County Circuit Court.
