The CW has released the first official picture of the three stars of the live action version of the hit cartoon, "Powerpuff Girls."

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." veterans Chloe Bennet and Dove Cameron, as well as "Jagged Little Pill" stage actress and recording artist Yana Perrault are playing grown-up versions of, respectively, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup.

The new photo is split into thirds, showing each of the actresses wearing their characters' trademark colors: They may have traded in their schoolgirl jumpers, but Cameron's Bubbles is still fond of blue, Bennet's Blossom still prefers pink, and Perrault's Buttercup still rocks green.

Based on Craig McCracken's hit animated show on Cartoon Network, the three Utonium Sisters got their start as lab-created super-girls. But according to a description from the network, the show, co-produced by "Juno" Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, paints the heroes as "disillusioned twenty-somethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting."

"Scrubs" veteran Donald Faison was reportedly recently cast as their dad/creator Professor Drake Utonium, and Nicholas Podany has just been announced as Jojo Mondel -- apparently the son of the cartoon's talking monkey villain, Mojo Jojo.

According to Deadline, Robyn Lively has also been cast as the girls' confidante -- and Drake's sometime love interest -- Sara Bellum for the forthcoming show.
