2022 BET Awards: Winners list
The BET Awards, known as "culture's biggest night," honored notable names in music, film, sports and entertainment on Sunday night.
Actress Taraji P. Henson returned this year to host the star-studded show, which aired live on BET at 8 p.m. ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Sean "Diddy" Combs received one of the biggest honors of the night -- the lifetime achievement award.
Mary J. Blige won the BET Her award and delivered an emotional speech about self-love while accepting her statuette. "Big Energy" rapper Latto won the coveted best new artist award and also brought out Mariah Carey while performing the remix of her hit song.
Jazmine Sullivan won the award for best female R&B/pop artist, and The Weeknd took home the award for best male R&B/pop artist.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak of Silk Sonic won the album of the year award with their debut studio album, "An Evening with Silk Sonic."
