Angelina Jolie returns to the big screen in 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil'

Angelina Jolie is back in the first teaser trailer for "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil."

In the short clip shared Monday by Disney, the film "picks up several years after [2014's] 'Maleficent,'" the official description reads.

"The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within," it adds.

The 90-second teaser features Jolie face-to-face with Michelle Pfeiffer's Queen Ingrith.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say you were making a threat," the queen say to Maleficent.

The trailer boasts almost 1 million views and is currently trending No. 1 on YouTube.

"Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" hits theaters on Oct. 18 and also stars Elle Fanning once again as Princess Aurora.
