When Tayshia Adams sent Ivan Hall home due to religious differences in Tuesday's finale episode of "The Bachelorette," fans were left wondering what she was talking about.

In a recent interview with former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe for her "Off the Vine" podcast, Hall explained that in the fantasy suite, he and Adams were able to discuss their religious beliefs for the first time only to discover that they weren't on the same page.

Hall said that he identifies as agnostic, which he defines as "strictly saying, 'I don't know [whether God exists], basically," whereas Adams is a Christian.

"When she, maybe, starts asking me about like my beliefs about like, 'Is there a heaven or is there a hell,' that kind of stuff, I'm gonna be like, 'Yeah my answer's gonna be different than yours. Because I'm gonna tell our kids, I don't know what there is, and then you can tell the kids whatever you want, and you can take them to church, that's completely fine with me,'" Hall said. "She, I guess, actually wanted to date someone who is Christian. And that's completely fine. And that's how a lot of people are."

Adams, 30, ended the season engaged to Zac Clark, a 36-year-old addiction specialist from Haddonfield, New Jersey. During her breakup with Hall, Adams said that "religion is part of my morals and my beliefs," leading Hall to tell her, "I definitely get it."

Hall, a 28-year-old aeronautical engineer from Dallas, told Bristowe that he has dated women of all faiths, and religion is just not a priority for him.

"My main focus are the morals and values that you have," he said. "I just try to have good morals and values. That's what's most important to me."
