Bad Bunny meets Pope Leo in Spain
Pope Leo XIV can add Bad Bunny to the list of notable figures with whom he has interacted since the start of his papacy last year.
The Vatican said this week that the pontiff, who is currently on a historic visit to Spain, met with the Puerto Rican superstar in Madrid on Monday.
A spokesperson told ABC News the two met privately along with Bad Bunny's family at Madrid's Bernabeu stadium on Monday.
No pictures from the meeting were released.
In the days leading up to Leo's trip, speculation was rampant about whether he and the musical artist would actually meet.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is currently on the European leg of his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour and kicked off his Madrid residency at Riyadh Air Metropolitano late last month.

According to The Associated Press, prior to the meeting, the pope discussed his and the artist's overlapping schedules and who might dominate young people's attention between the two figures.
"If they are confronted with the question, 'Do you want to go see Bad Bunny or do you want to go to see the pope?' I think many will see Bad Bunny," Leo said, according to AP. "But I think there will also be a few here to see the pope. And that says something, you know."
The Pope has a full schedule for his trip to Spain. He is scheduled to say mass at the famed Basilica Sagrada Família -- the tallest church in the world -- on Wednesday and will later inaugurate the basilica's recently completed Tower of Jesus Christ.
The event at Sagrada Família will mark the highlight of Pope Leo's trip to Spain and coincides with the 100th anniversary of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí's death. Gaudí designed the church and is buried in its crypt.
The meeting also marks another milestone for Bad Bunny, who won the Grammy for album of the year in early February, days before headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
Bad Bunny's Madrid residency concludes June 25, after which he will make tour stops in Europe and the U.K., ending with Belgium on July 22.
