— -- Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have never been friends who shy away from poking a little fun at each other.

For instance, Damon said he passed on "Daredevil," then Affleck scooped up the role about the Man Without Fear, only to be panned by critics when it came out in 2003. They've had many other back-and-forth jokes about various roles over the years.

Affleck fired back Tuesday on "Popcorn with Peter Travers," joking that Damon's jealous he doesn't get to play Batman.

"He's very bitter," Affleck told Travers. "All he gets to do is Jason Bourne. Just keeps doing it again and again. We get it."

Affleck will be back as Batman in "Justice League" and a standalone Batman project. But he wasn't done having fun with his "Good Will Hunting" co-star.

"He's had his share," he added. "I got 'We Bought a Zoo' on a loop in the house."

Even with all this, Affleck said the two remain the best of friends and haven't let Hollywood change them.

"I don't think we've changed that much. Last night he emailed me and said, 'You wanna come over and watch Monday Night Football,'" he said.

"Being friends and having a guy to go through all that stuff with," he said. "To have a relationship and have a sense of humor about it, it's crucial."
