Blake Shelton on his relationship with Gwen Stefani: 'God had a hand in it'
Blake Shelton recently opened up about the start of his relationship with Gwen Stefani and how he believes God played a part in bringing them together.
The music superstars, who are both divorced, have reportedly been dating since 2015 and often speak about their strong partnership.
"Both of us know that the timing, and the way she and I met and came together, it just felt like home, that's not an accident," Shelton said in a recent interview with "ET."
"I think that the way that she and I were able to save each other's lives and get ourselves through that time it was evidence to us that God had a hand in it," he added.
Shelton said he and Stefani were experiencing similar hardships when they met.
"Both of our lives had basically fallen completely apart," he said. "Little did we know it happened to both of us at the same time, and we bonded over that."
"Somewhere in that time of darkness it ended up being the greatest moment of my life," he added. "It's amazing, it truly is."
Stefani also spoke about her close relationship with Shelton to "Good Morning America" in June 2018.
"He's my homeboy. He's my homey. He's just really an amazing all-around human so I feel so grateful for that," she said.
