Carlos Alcaraz earned his sixth career Grand Slam win on Sunday after defeating Jannik Sinner for the men's singles U.S. Open title.

The Spanish tennis star locked up the victory 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in just under three hours over the world No. 1.

"Every achievement that I have is because of you," Alcaraz said to his team on the court during the trophy ceremony.

"This tournament is super special for me," he continued, speaking to the crowd at Arthur Ashe stadium. "It's a privilege to be a part of this tournament. I just feel at home, feel the energy, and feel the love, and I'm just trying to play my best for you guys. You made everything easy."

Within just four minutes of the match, Alcaraz broke Sinner's serve, setting the tone early for their final.

This is Alcaraz's second U.S. Open title. He also previously won twice at Wimbledon and the French Open.

With his U.S. Open victory, Alcaraz is in rarefied air alongside Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Mats Wilander as the only men to win multiple major titles on all three surfaces -- hard court, grass and clay.
