'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro' crowns winner

"Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" has officially crowned its first winner.
The "Dancing with the Stars" spinoff concluded Monday night after a season of competition to determine who would earn a spot as a pro on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."

What is 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro'?
The ABC competition series, which premiered July 13, followed 12 aspiring ballroom dancers competing for the chance to join the professional cast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 35.
Hosted by Robert Irwin, the series took place in Australia, where the contestants lived and trained together while taking on weekly dance challenges designed to test the skills needed to become a "DWTS" pro.
Along with permanent judges Shirley Ballas and Mark Ballas, a rotating lineup of guest judges mentored the contestants before helping decide who would stay and who would go.
"The show did a really great job of setting up challenges for these dancers," Mark Ballas told ABC Audio ahead of the inaugural season premiere. "Whether it's choreographing, group work, chemistry, teaching challenges, these are the things that you face as a pro on 'Dancing with the Stars.'"
Who won 'Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro'?
Adele Zaikman was crowned the winner of "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" during the Aug. 31 season finale.
Zaikman competed against fellow finalists AJ Pritchard and Selena Hamilton, with Derek Hough joining Shirley Ballas and Mark Ballas as a guest judge for the finale.
The three finalists were paired with former "Dancing with the Stars" celebrity contestants for their final performances, with Zaikman partnering with season 29 runner-up Nev Schulman.
Zaikman and Schulman performed a samba in the first round before taking on a freestyle for their final dance of the competition.
What's next for Adele Zaikman?
With her win, Zaikman will officially join the professional cast of "Dancing with the Stars" season 35.
She joins previously announced pros Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess, who is returning to the ballroom after a four-season absence.
The remaining season 35 cast will be revealed Wednesday, Sept. 2, on "Good Morning America."
Season 35 of "Dancing with the Stars" will premiere with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, airing at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+ and streaming the next day on Hulu.
