Dog the Bounty Hunter says wife Beth told him 'let me go' before death
Duane Chapman, or as most know him, "Dog the Bounty Hunter," spoke out again about his wife's recent death, sharing more about her final moments and how the family is doing following her tragic loss to cancer.
Beth Chapman died last month at the age of 51.
While he's "trying to man up" for his family, the loss is still fresh. Yet Beth did her best to prepare the reality star to be moving on alone.
"For two to three years, she knew this might happen," he told Entertainment Tonight. "Even though she is not physically there, mentally and spiritually she is there."
In her final moments, Chapman said Beth told him that her time on this Earth was complete.
"The last few moments she said, 'Come in here right now, in the bathroom.' I went in and she said, 'Look at me.' And I said, 'Yeah, you're freaking beautiful baby,'" he told ET. "[And she said,] 'Look at me, Duane Chapman.' And I did, I always saw Beth and she said, 'Please, let me go.'"
Even though she was trying to free her husband, he said no one will ever take her place.
"There is not another Beth. There'll never be another Beth," he said.
At the time of Beth Chapman's death on June 26, the reality star tweeted the tragic news.
"It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain," Chapman wrote in a tweet. "Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side."
In an interview hours later with Hawaii News Now, he joked, "From heaven, I'm sure she's still controlling me."
He added that he's found notes on his pillow case, in his sink, "She's still telling me what to wear."
"I loved her so much," he said. "I hope there is a God and if there is, I'm gonna see my honey again."
