Eric Bauza, a voice actor known for bringing to life classic animated characters including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, has died at the age of 46, according to his family.

Bauza's family said in a brief statement shared on his Instagram that he "passed away suddenly." No further details were given

Bauza's cause of death was listed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office as hypertensive cardiovascular disease, or heart problems due to ongoing high blood pressure, according to the National Institutes of Health.

Bauza's manager described the voice actor's death as a "shock," describing him as a "unique and versatile voice actor who was loved by everyone he knew and worked with."

"His sudden passing is a shock to all of us, and he will be deeply missed. It’s a profound loss for his family,  the animation industry and his fans," Judy Coppage told ABC News in a statement Monday. "As his longtime manager, the pleasure of watching him succeed and excel to become one of the most accomplished voices in animation was rewarding and thrilling."

Bauza's family described him in their statement as an "Emmy Award-winning voice actor and the modern voice of iconic Looney Tunes characters."

In addition to Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, Bauza also voiced dozens of other cartoon characters including Porky Pig, Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and more, most recently in the Looney Tunes film "Coyote vs. Acme."

Bauza won three Emmy Awards for his work voicing Looney Tunes characters, according to a biography shared by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, with which he performed at the Hollywood Bowl last year.

Bauza, who was born in Canada and started his career working in animation, had more than 400 acting credits to his name, including in "Space Jam" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies, according to his IMDb profile.
