Gigi Hadid, who welcomed a daughter named Khai alongside partner Zayn Malik last year, opened up in a new interview about struggling with anxiety before she gave birth.

Hadid, 26, explained to Harper’s Bazaar that she kept two journals while she was pregnant -- a "good journal and one journal that I called the bad journal."

Hadid explains that inside the latter journal are writings about "Anxieties and days where I felt like, 'Am I good enough to be a mom?'"

"I didn't want to feel guilty about feeling those things or writing those things down. I just liked the separation," she continued, noting that she will allow Khai to read the "bad journal" once she's older. Her first birthday is in September.

Hadid said she took up journaling as a hobby during the pandemic and told the outlet, "I also have sketch pads where I’ll watercolor-sketch, and sometimes I end up writing there too. I write on the back of receipts and keep those in a notebook. I’m not particular about it, and my journals are everywhere around the house. I just pick up whichever one is closest to me and write."

"It’s peaceful and recharging for me ... I deal with a lot of things through just sitting and thinking and writing," she added.
