How ‘GMA’ Anchors Transformed Into 'Star Wars' Characters
— -- In case you missed it, Halloween is a big deal here at "Good Morning America." We can always look forward to exciting moments, special effects and many of your favorite characters, superheroes and so much more.
This year, Lara Spencer, Ginger Zee, Amy Robach, Jesse Palmer and T.J. Holmes transformed into iconic "Star Wars" characters for a special "GMA" Halloween homage, "Stars Wars: The Lost Episode," and we went behind the scenes of the shoot.
After our live "GMA" broadcast, our talent got in full gear transforming into their characters. Lara Spencer transforms into Mrs. Chewbacca.
“I am all wookie,” Spencer said as she began reciting her lines during her green-screen session.

Jesse Palmer couldn’t resist channeling his inner child as he took on the role of Poe Dameron, a fighter pilot and leader in the Resistance’s fight against the evil First Order in the newest installment of "Star Wars."
Ginger Zee got into character not once, but twice, as a "Star Wars" original, Princess Leia, and as a new character Rey, a resilient fighter. T.J. Holmes joins the cast as Finn and was excited to be a Stormtrooper.
T.J.’s costume required hands-on assistance and assembly with the aid of our wardrobe team to help him into his armor.
Amy Robach tapped into her inner Yoda, the legendary Jedi master, after a 90-minute, head-to-toe makeover. Her transformation was a multi-layered process. The team used a hair net, adhesive, and about three layers of green face paint, both airbrushed and applied by hand, to master the look. Cotton strands were also applied to her head to add the effects of aging.
“Next year I get to be the princess,” Amy said as she headed out of her dressing room onto set.
