Brunson and Wembanyama sat down with "Good Morning America" ahead of the NBA Finals and shared how their respective sources of inspiration brought them to where they are today.

Brunson discussed working under the tutelage of his dad, Knicks assistant coach Rick Brunson, who was on the Knicks' 1999 Finals team.

"More times than not, he's right, which is annoying," Brunson said of his father. "But, I know where he's coming from. He wants me to be the best player I can be."

He noted that "being able to decipher when he's being a coach and when he's being a dad" was key to the father and son's relationship.
