Jason Aldean and Girlfriend Brittany Kerr Make Their Red Carpet Debut
June 5, 2014 -- For months, fans have tittered about Jason Aldean's relationship with Brittany Kerr.
On Wednesday night, they made it official: The country singer and his "American Idol" contestant girlfriend walked hand-in-hand at the CMT Awards.
The two had been linked since 2012, when photos of the two kissing hit the Internet. However, at the time, Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica.
"I screwed up," he said at the time. "I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar."

A few months later, Aldean filed for divorce, saying that in spite of their split, they would continue to co-parent their two daughters together. Then, in March, ABC News confirmed that Aldean and Kerr were officially a couple.
"The biggest thing is, obviously there was things going on in my marriage at the time where I just wasn't really happy," he explained "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts.
