Kanye West confirms new release date for his upcoming album 'Donda'
After failing to drop his "Donda" album on July 23 as previously promised, Kanye West has announced an album release event set in Atlanta this Thursday.
The event, titled "Kanye West Presents the DONDA Album Release," will take place at 9 p.m. ET on Aug. 5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The rapper has reportedly been holed up in the stadium as he puts the finishing touches on the anxiously awaited project.
He held his first "Donda" listening event at the stadium on July 22.
Tickets for the Thursday event will go on sale today at 10 a.m. ET at Ticketmaster. Ticket prices will range from $30 to $75.
"Donda," named after West's late mother, marks West’s first LP since 2019’s "Jesus Is Born," a gospel-inspired album recorded with his Sunday Service Choir.
