It's been 20 years since "Kim Possible" fans first heard "call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me," and although pagers may be outdated, the iconic series with a female heroine has stood the test of time.

"That first, 'doo, doo, doo,' everybody, every age, whether a parent when their kids were watching or grown-up now, know it's an iconic moment," Christy Carlson Romano, who voices Kim Possible, told "Good Morning America" on Tuesday.

Will Friedle, who voices Ron Stoppable, recalled that at the show's peak "everybody had it as their text ring -- so you would hear it in an airport and think, 'What's going on?'"

The two co-stars received collectible action figures on "Good Morning America" as they talked about their time as those animated characters.

"It's a legacy for me -- my avatar on Disney+ is Kim Possible," said Romano, a mother of 3- and 5-year-old daughters. "It's my big mom flex that I get to like have that with my girls."

Friedle added that when they do events or conventions there are "little kids dressed like Kim and Ron and it's pretty awesome to see that it's sustaining after all this time."

"It touches our heart in a very genuine way. We love our fans very much and it's just really great to engage with them," Romano said. "A lot of people identify with the characters or they helped them come of age and find themselves and we really love honoring that."

The pair broke a bit of exciting news for fans of the Disney show, saying their podcast "I Hear Voices" has "new 'Kim Possible' content for the first time in 15 years," Friedle said. There's even a new scene written by the creator of the show that brings Kim, Ron, Dr. Drakken and Shego back together.

All four seasons of "Kim Possible" are available to stream on Disney+ and the special 20th anniversary "I Hear Voices" podcast episode is out now.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Good Morning America.
