Why Miranda Kerr Isn't Jumping Into a New Relationship

Feb. 12, 2015— -- Since her split from Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr has been having some fun dating, but she says she's not ready to jump into a relationship just yet.

"For the record, I’m single," she told the latest Australian edition of Harper's Bazaar. "What I’m trying to do right now, as I've always been the girl with the boyfriend, is to find that comfort within myself. Because it’s quite easy to always look to other people to lift us up or make us feel better about ourselves."

Added the 31-year-old supermodel, "At the end of the day, it’s really important to be comfortable with your own company and to feel good about that and not have to rely on anyone else."

These days, the Victoria's Secret model is busy building a global beauty empire and being a mother to 3-year-old Flynn.

Kerr recently called her son with ex-husband Orlando Bloom "my number one priority."

Though a nanny watches him while she's working, Kerr told the Sunday Times of London, "When I get home she leaves and I switch my phone off. My son is an absolute joy."
