Miss Universe owner shares update after contestant falls off stage

Miss Universe owner Raul Rocha is sharing an update on the condition of Gabrielle Henry, a contestant who fell off the stage Wednesday during a Miss Universe 2025 preliminary competition round in Bangkok, Thailand.

"I would like to share with the Miss Universe family that are concerned for the health of our Miss Universe Jamaica that at 12:00 a.m. Bangkok time, that I have just left the hospital where she is being treated. I was there with her family and her, and thankfully, there are no broken bones and she is under good care," Rocha wrote in an Instagram post.

"She will remain under observation for the rest of the night and we will remain in touch with her family to support her. Our prayers go out for her prompt recovery," Rocha added.

Henry, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, had been competing in the evening gown round when the fall occurred.

In a video shared on Instagram, Henry can be seen walking down a runway onstage in an orange gown. After she turns to walk back up the stage, she suddenly falls off the stage.

Additional video clips shared on X show Henry later being carried away from the stage on a stretcher.

Henry was subsequently transported to Paolo Rangsit Hospital near Bangkok, according to a Facebook post shared by the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization.

"She was rushed to the Paolo Rangsit Hospital, where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries; however, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery," the organization said in a statement at the time.

According to an X post from Miss Universe, Henry is an ophthalmologist who founded the See Me Foundation, a charity that supports people who are visually impaired in her home country of Jamaica.

The 74th Miss Universe pageant winner, selected from a pool of contestants from 130 countries, is set to be crowned on Nov. 21 at the final coronation party.
