Neil Diamond's wife Katie discusses their marriage: 'We're best friends'
Neil Diamond's wife, Katie Diamond, opened up about the secrets to the longevity of their marriage.
She spoke with People on Thursday at the premiere of "Song Sung Blue," which stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson and details the story of a Neil Diamond tribute band love story.
"We're best friends, and we really support each other. We lift each other up, and through thick and thin, through sickness and health, we really live it. And I think that that’s the secret," Katie Diamond told the outlet about how she and the singer keep their marriage strong.
Katie Diamond and the "Sweet Caroline" singer are getting ready to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary, after marrying in 2012.
In a statement to People at the time of his wedding, Neil Diamond shared, "The wedding was incredible. I've never seen anything like it."
Also in 2012, Neil Diamond, who had been married twice before, discussed his relationship with Katie. "I’ve found the woman of my dreams,” he told the magazine.
Diamond is father to four children from prior marriages: Marjorie, Elyn, Jesse and Micah.
"Song Sung Blue," directed by Craig Brewe,r hits theaters on Christmas Day.

Neil Diamond has spent quality time with the star of the upcoming film, according to a post from Jackman on his Instagram detailing a night of fun and music with the "Song Sung Blue" singer.
"So special to spend time, to share, laugh and to sing karaoke! We are eternally grateful for your trust and support of @songsungbluefilm!" wrote Jackman in an October Instagram post, of him and Diamond embracing and holding microphones.
This film is based on the 2008 documentary of the same name directed by Greg Kohs, according to Focus Features.
