Pharrell offers 'guaranteed' internships to 2019 graduating class of Harlem Charter School

Pharrell is offering some New York City high school students the opportunity of a lifetime.

Over the weekend, the mega-producer delivered a rousing keynote speech at the graduation ceremony for Harlem Children's Zone Promise Academy.

While on stage, he announced that he'd be granting internships to the entire graduating class following their first year of college.

"So let me be clear, every member of the 2019 graduating class is guaranteed an internship waiting for them -- you -- next summer," the "Happy" artist told the crowd.

"The world is watching Harlem but this renaissance will be different," he continued. "And, believe it or not, with respect, it will actually be better."

According to BuzzFeed News, all 114 students in the charter school's graduating class received offers to attend colleges and universities.

The school did not specify where the internships would take place but stated they would be in line with the graduates' respective career goals.
