Prince George to Attend Local Nursery School Near Parents' Country Home
— -- Kensington Palace announced Prince George will be attending a Montessori nursery school near Prince William and Kate's Country home Anmer Hall before the end of January.
The Westacre Montessori Nursery said: "We are looking forward to welcoming George to our nursery where he will get the same special experience as all of our children."
Rather than send George to a school in London, the couple have chosen to send the future king to a nursery school near their home, close to the Queens Sandringham estate.
Anmer Hall is also close to William's job as a pilot for East Anglia Air Ambulance.
William and Kate have wanted to provide their children with as normal an upbringing as possible, and this appears to be another effort to do that. The school caters to local children within a 15 mile radius. George is not expected to attend every day but it will provide him an opportunity to interact with young children near his family's home.
The Palace also released the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Christmas card, which was taken in October at Kensington Palace by the photographer Chris Jelf, to coincide with the nursery school announcement.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: "The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four."
Photographer Chris Jelf, who was chosen by private recommendation, said: "I thoroughly enjoyed photographing a very lovely family, although you have to be sharp as you don't have long when there are two young children involved! I hope everyone enjoys this photo and I am honoured that The Duke and Duchess have decided to share it with the public."
