Shannen Doherty Reveals Cancer Has Spread

— -- Shannen Doherty's husband has been a source of strength during her cancer treatment, she wrote on Instagram.

The former "Beverly Hills 90210" star posted on Instagram Thursday a photo of herself in a pink wig and her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, playfully touching her nose.

In a sentimental caption, Doherty, who was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, noted that "he loves me with pink hair or no hair."

"I'm blessed to have such a strong support team starting with @kurtiswarienko who loves me more every second. Can't imagine my life without him," she continued. "Cancer is not pleasant but it can bring out the best in relationships or the worse. Thankfully, it has made our marriage stronger."

Doherty, 45, had a single mastectomy in May, and told "Entertainment Tonight" earlier this week that cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. Now, she is undergoing chemotherapy, and after that, she will have radiation treatment.

"Cancer is like a book with so many pages you don't see a way to read through all of them at once. But when you take them one page at a time, a story emerges and takes shape in unexpected ways," Iswarienko wrote on his own Instagram page.

He continued, "The outcome isn't clear or easy to reckon with, but you find as you go through the journey that a clear outcome isn't the point. The journey is the thing. The people you connect with along the way are the point. It's about human energy. It's about breathing. #shannensquad."
