Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne reflect on Ozzy Osbourne's legacy at the Grammys
Ozzy Osbourne's family is paying tribute to him at the 2026 Grammys.
Ahead of the telecast, his wife Sharon Osbourne, kids Jack and Kelly Osbourne, and Kelly Osbourne's partner, Slipknot band member Sid Wilson, spoke with "Good Morning America" on the red carpet and discussed how his musical impact reflects across generations of artists.
"It's a testament to his talent and magic," Jack Osbourne said, referring to his late father.
Sharon Osbourne added, "The thing was, people who Ozzy touched, they've all done so well. The magic he would put on to other people, and everyone who touched -- Ozzy did well."
One of those young artists whom Ozzy Osbourne admired was English musician Yungblud.
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, was introduced to the Black Sabbath frontman by Kelly Osbourne, according to his family. After their meeting, the duo fostered a meaningful relationship, with Ozzy Osbourne even appearing in Yungblud's music video for "The Funeral."
"When I introduced my dad to him, my dad was just like, 'This kid is a star,'" Kelly Osbourne said. "And he became obsessed with listening to his music, following his career and insistent on him being at [his] final show."
At the Grammys Premiere Ceremony ahead of the Grammys broadcast on Sunday, Yungblud, along with Nuno Bettencourt, Frank Bello, Adam Wakeman, and Sleep Token II, won the award for best rock performance for their rendition of Black Sabbath's "Changes," recorded live during Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath's final live concert, the Back to the Beginning benefit concert, in July 2025.
"To grow up loving an idol who helps figure out your identity, not only as a musician but as a man, is something I'm truly grateful for," Yungblud said in his acceptance speech. "But then to form a relationship with them and honor them at their final show… we're finding it so strange to comprehend."
During the Grammys ceremony, Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Chad Smith honored Ozzy Osbourne with a performance of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs." Andrew Watt also performed on guitar.
Beginning next year, the Grammys will be exclusively simulcast on ABC, Hulu and Disney+.
