Weird Al Yankovic Goes Gaga: Pop News Heat Index

ByGood Morning America
June 20, 2011, 9:39 PM

June 21, 2011— -- What's cool, what's hot, what's now and what's next. "Good Morning America" lifestyle anchor Lara Spencer tracks all the trends and brings you the day's hottest entertainment and pop culture news in today's Pop News Heat Index.

Inspired, On Fire: Weird Al Yankovic Goes Gaga

Weird Al Yankovic is out with his insanely fun take on Lady Gaga, turning her hit song "Born this Way" into "Perform This Way." The singer-comedian dons a wig and dresses in a series of Gaga-esque, outlandish outfits for the music video parody and sings: "I might be wearing Swiss cheese/May be covered in bees/It doesn't mean I'm crazy/I perform this way."

Yankovic's lyrics do not disappoint: "I'll be a troll or evil queen/I'll be a human jelly bean/'Cause every day is Halloween/For me."

All proceeds from the song will go to the Human Rights Campaign, supporting the LGBT community.

It looks as though he's on the right track, baby. Watch the spoof here.

Outrageous, Cold: Hutchinson and Stodden Robbing the Cradle?

It's the May-December romance that's shocking Hollywood. Doug Hutchinson, the 51-year-old actor known from the TV show "Lost" and the film "The Green Mile," has made headlines for marrying 16-year- old aspiring singer Courtney Stodden. The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas May 20 and her mom reportedly approves. Hutchinson says "true love can be ageless," but many critics are saying it can be a little creepy. Is the age difference insane, outrageous or both? Tell us.

Inspired, Simmering: Live With Kelly and …?

The folks at "Live" are close to deciding who will fill Regis Philbin's very big shoes once he retires in November. The Wall Street Journal reports they have narrowed the field to three contenders: will it be Kelly's handsome husband Marc Conseulos, Bravo's Andy Cohen or Ryan Seacreast? We say, three cheers for three great choices.

Inspired, Ice Cold: The Hoffsicle

The outrageous new product flying off freezer shelves -- well, in Europe at least -- is the Hoffsicle. Yes, David Hasselhoff is so cool he has now been immortalized in a raspberry smoothie flavored ice-pop. Del Monte Foods has created the uncanny likeness of Hasselhoff's head and torso, complete with chest hair and a popped collar. If you look closely, you can see the outline of a gold chain. But don't look for his anthropomorphic pop in the United States. The Hoffsicle is sold only in Germany, for now.
