Your3Words: Plain White T's 'Rhythm of Love'

ByGood Morning America
November 19, 2010, 11:21 PM

Nov. 20, 2010— -- The Plain White T's made a name for themselves back in 2007 with the smash hit "Hey There, Delilah," an acoustic love song written by singer Tom Higgenson. Although the song did not help Higgenson to win over the real life Delilah, it won over millions of fans and earned the band a #1 spot on the Billboard charts and two Grammy nominations.

The Chicago-based alternative rock band formed in 1997 and recorded several albums, eventually emerging with the current lineup of Tom Higgenson (guitar, vocals), Tim Lopez (guitar, vocals), Dave Tirio (guitar), D'Mar Hamilton (drums) and Mike Retondo (bass). The release of "Every Second Counts" on Disney's Hollywood Records marked PWT's big break into the mainstream with "Delilah" as the single, and in 2008, they followed up with "Big Bad World."

Inspired by a Cirque de Soleil show in Las Vegas, the PWT's approached their latest album with a renewed sense of imagination and fantasy, exploring the idea of reclaiming the magic of youth. On "The Wonders of the Younger," the band is also stylistically adventurous, with songs ranging from acoustic to heavy rock and even incorporating orchestral arrangements.

"Rhythm of Love" is coincidentally another acoustic love song, written this time by Tim Lopez with the hope of rekindling an old relationship. Again, it remains to be seen if this Plain White T's member will get the girl, but as the first single off "The Wonders of the Younger," it has already broken the Billboard Top 100. Set for release on December 7, 2010, you can pre-order the album now on iTunes.
