Sofia Vergara Strips in the Name of Art

Oct. 8, 2012— -- She's giving a whole new meaning to the word art! This past summer, Sofia Vergara stripped down to a tiny black thong for her friend Domingo Zapata's new project, and now People has the exclusive photos.

The 38-year-old Spanish artist, whom the New York Post is calling the next Andy Warhol, is working on a project called Ten, a series of Polaroids depicting the famous bodies of Vergara, Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Rodriguez, and others, as his canvas. In Sofia's case, her famous curves are covered with bright paint and some of the verses of the Spanish poem Life is A Dream (La Vida es un Sueño, by Calderón de la Barca).

Not a bad way to make a living. Apparently, Vergara's 12-Polaroid series sold for $220,000. "She is one of the most beautiful women in the world and very comfortable with her body," Zapata told People. "What a canvas!"

Zapata, who's friends with Johnny Depp, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, and Leo DiCaprio and has studios in New York, L.A., and Paris, has tapped Scarlett Johansson and Eva Longoria as his next muses. Apparently Longoria said to him, 'I want you to do to me what you did to Sofia!'

But Sofia's photos are tame, compared to the recent ones we saw online of her formidable derriere, which she herself posted on WhoSay after her famous wardrobe malfunction at the Emmys.

It's a good thing her fiancé Nick Loeb isn't a jealous man! At least not publicly…

Speaking of Sofia, there's a great article in the new issue of Poder Magazine discussing the media empire she's built via Latin World Entertainment, the company she founded with Luis Balaguer in 1998. The company is estimated to be worth $27 million.
