The hospital wanted to help make the holiday season fun for the babies and their families and decided to celebrate with the highly-anticipated movie, according to Dr. Rajan Wadhawan, senior executive officer of AdventHealth for Women.

"Being so close to Disney World and the new Star Wars land [Star Wars Galaxy's Edge], we as a hospital are very excited about the new movie," he said. "And we wanted to bring that excitement to the patients as well."

The fun costumes also help achieve another goal in making the hospital experience more fun, according to Wadhawan.

"Being in a hospital is stressful for any patient or any family ... so we try and do anything that we can to bring smiles to faces and distract from the healthcare aspect," he said. "We try to bring an element into the hospital that allows people to disconnect from that clinical element, even if for a brief period of time."
