Young girl crushes Girl Scout Cookie sales with more than 80K boxes sold
A young girl from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has become a social media sensation as a top Girl Scout Cookie seller, surpassing 80,000 boxes sold this season.
Six-year-old Pim Neill originally set out with a modest goal, to help her troop go camping and learn about wildlife.
In an interview with "Good Morning America," the elementary school student and her family spoke about the mammoth effort, saying she first became inspired to join the Girl Scouts of the USA when she was just 3 years old and saw other girls selling cookies.
Pim's dad Lucas Anorak‑Neill told "GMA" the family helped her reach buyers this season by leveraging a TikTok page that has since soared to viral acclaim.
There, the family posts videos of Pim giving updates on her cookie sales, as well as sharing information on how to purchase them through her Girl Scout Cookie storefront.
Despite her young age, Pim's family said she has major goals both with Girl Scout Cookies and beyond and hopes to eventually hit 100,000 boxes sold.
This isn't Pim's first stint as a top seller and overachiever, they said.
Last fall, the 6-year-old contributed 10% of her school's popcorn sales, collected donations for a toy drive through her church, and read 506 books during her library's summer program, according to her family.
Anorak‑Neill said he hopes his daughter's success "ignites Girl Scouts one cookie at a time" and encourages others to volunteer, join, or energize their local troops.
As for her own Girl Scout Cookie favorites, Pim said Thin Mints are her top choice, with Anorak‑Neill saying Samoas are a close second.
The Girl Scouts of the USA did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.
