Drawing Conclusions: Week 10's playoff impact

ByCHRIS MORRIS
November 08, 2015, 3:27 PM

— -- Welcome back to our weekly illustrated guide during the college football season to four games that had an impact on the playoff race.

Previous weeks: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9

No. 1 Clemson 23, No. 16 Florida State 13

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney had reason to break out his trademark dancing after the Tigers ended the Seminoles' run as three-time ACC champions. Clemson, 9-0, finishes the season with games against Syracuse, Wake Forest and rival South Carolina, which have a combined record of 9-18, before heading to the ACC title game.

No. 4 Alabama 30, No. 2 LSU 16

The Crimson Tide bulled over the Tigers behind the power of Derrick Henry. The junior running back rushed for 210 yards, which is the third most that LSU has allowed in 11 seasons under Les Miles, according to ESPN Stats & Information. LSU's star running back, Leonard Fournette, was held to a season-low 31 yards, snapping a streak of seven straight games with at least 150 rush yards.

Nebraska 39, No. 7 Michigan State 38

The Cornhuskers handed the Spartans their first loss on a controversial call, as Tommy Armstrong connected with Brandon Reilly for a 30-yard touchdown pass with 17 seconds left. Reilly went out of bounds before catching the pass, but upon review, officials ruled he had been forced out by a defender and allowed the touchdown to stand.

No. 14 Oklahoma State 49, No. 8 TCU 29

The Cowboys wrangled the Horned Frogs, staying unbeaten while ending TCU's 16-game winning streak. Oklahoma State has now won 11 straight and looks to be a Big 12 contender with Baylor and Oklahoma still ahead on the schedule.
