Patriots players -- including Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Sebastian Vollmer -- shared their jubilation.

Jimmy Garoppolo, New England’s backup quarterback, also expressed excitement. He had spent the previous weeks playing the role of Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson in practice.

In the losing effort, Seahawks players -- including Richard Sherman, Doug Baldwin and Wilson -- shared team pride and gratitude for fan support.

The game was the most tweeted Super Bowl ever, with 28.4 million total tweets, including 395,000 tweets per minute following Butler's interception.
