Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that Americans will begin to feel the White House's efforts to rein in the cost of living in the first two quarters of 2026.

"I think Americans are going to feel it in the first quarter, second quarter, I think 2026, thanks to President Trump's signature plans, is going to be a great year for working Americans, for the markets," Bessent told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures."

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump faces fallout from the release of messages sent by sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that mention Trump, and bipartisan pressure is ramping up on the administration to release the rest of the Epstein files.

FAA flight cuts to end Monday morning

Flight reductions across the 40 major airports nationwide will end Monday morning at 6 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

This means that airlines can resume their normal operations and fly at their full capacity. The agency says the decision was taken following the safety team's "detailed reviews of safety trends and the steady decline of staffing-trigger events in air traffic control facilities."

The FAA also said it's aware of reports that some airlines did not fully comply with the reductions during the emergency order and that it is reviewing and assessing enforcement options.

"Despite not receiving a paycheck, our TSA officers at Logan Airport kept travelers safe during the Democrats’ government shutdown," Noem posted on X. "Over 270 TSA officers at Logan Airport didn’t miss a shift. These individuals will all be receiving a $10,000 bonus for going above and beyond to serve their fellow Americans during the shutdown. Thank you all for keeping us safe everyday."

Bessent says Americans will feel White House efforts on cost of living next year

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that people should begin to feel the impact of the White House’s efforts to rein in the cost of living in the first two quarters of next year.

“I think we are going to see a substantial acceleration in the economy in the first, second quarter. And I think we are also, we're already seeing on many prices,” Bessent told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” “As I said, we're bending, bending that curve down and the increase in real incomes, I think Americans are going to feel it in the first quarter, second quarter, I think 2026, thanks to President Trump's signature plans, is going to be a great year for working Americans, for the markets, I call it parallel prosperity — Main Street and Wall Street can both do great but I think Main Street is going to have a great year in 2026.

Trump threatens Indiana Republicans over redistricting

Following the Indiana state Senate failing to secure the votes to pass redrawing the state’s congressional map, Trump threatened to primary any Republican who does not support redistricting efforts.

"Any Republican that votes against this important redistricting, potentially having an impact on America itself, should be PRIMARIED," Trump wrote on his social media platform.

Trump went on to threaten to help push out Indiana state Sens. Rodric Bray, Greg Goode and others.

"Senators Bray, Goode, and the others to be released to the public later this afternoon, should DO THEIR JOB, AND DO IT NOW! If not, let’s get them out of office, ASAP," Trump wrote.
