A woman who became "belligerent in court" allegedly shot two attorneys involved in the same lawsuit outside a North Carolina courthouse Friday morning after the case ended, according to Raleigh Police Chief Rico Boyce.

The two victims were attorneys representing the town of Rolesville as part of the civil lawsuit involving the alleged shooter, according to the town of Rolesville.

Police have identified the suspect as 57-year-old Gwendolyn White. She has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. Attempted murder charges are pending, according to police.

"When deputies and officers came out of the courthouse, they encountered an adult female who was in possession of a handgun. That female was taken into custody," Boyce said.

Police also found two adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
