8 people injured in shooting between 2 groups near Virginia Beach waterfront: Police
At least eight people, including four teenagers, were shot on Saturday night in Virginia Beach, Virginia, during what police alleged was an altercation between two groups that escalated.
The shooting unfolded near the city's Oceanfront area along Atlantic Avenue, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
An 18-year-old man who was wounded in the incident is alleged to be one of the gunmen involved in the shooting, police said. He was identified as Jamaya Williams of Henrico County and was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, reckless handling of a firearm with injury and violations of a protective order, according to police.

Two other suspects remained at large on Sunday afternoon, including another 18-year-old police identified as Isaiah Charity of Richmond, who is wanted on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and reckless handling of a firearm with injury.
The third suspect at large has yet to be identified, according to police.
The shooting unfolded around 9:50 p.m. when patrol officers responded to the waterfront area to investigate a ShotSpotter activation report, authorities said.
"Officers converged on the scene, locating eight individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All eight victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to serious," Virginia Beach police officials said in a statement.
The other seven victims, three women and four men ranging from 17 to 24 years old, are expected to survive, according to the police.
The preliminary investigation shows that the shooting erupted after an "altercation escalated" between unrelated groups of young adults and juveniles.
"Detectives determined at least three suspects exchanged gunfire, one of whom was among the eight individuals shot," according to the police statement.
Williams, the suspect who was shot, was allegedly in illegal possession of two firearms when he was arrested at the crime scene, according to police.
During the course of the investigation, police stopped and arrested a 21-year-old man from Chesapeake who was allegedly in illegal possession of a concealed 9mm handgun, according to police. Upon further investigation, police determined the man was not involved in the shooting, authorities said.
