'Bachelor' Star Clare Slams Juan Pablo: 'You Shouldn't Make a Woman Cry'
Feb. 6, 2014 -- Time has passed since "Bachelor" star Juan Pablo Galavis reduced contestant Clare Crawley to tears when he told her he regretted going swimming with her in Vietnam. But she's just as confused now as she was then.
In a new interview with reporters, Clare, 32, said that one thing she knows for sure is that what he said to her was inappropriate.
"You shouldn't make a woman cry, whether it's right or wrong," she said. "And it was pretty bad at the time. It was pretty bad. It made me feel awful."

On Monday's episode of "The Bachelor," Juan Pablo singled out the hairstylist on the group date for a quick dip in his hotel room's private pool, and then, after she made a surprise visit to his room, the two went for a PDA-filled late-night ocean swim. Though Clare was elated afterward, she was crushed when, just before the rose ceremony, Juan Pablo told her he regretted it all.
"She was so happy that I didn't want to reject her, but I definitely made a mistake," he explained on his People.com blog post. "I regretted giving Clare the extra time. Also, I didn't think it was a good example for my daughter to watch daddy going into the ocean with a girl at night. I already had a great day with her and even taking her to my pool was something that I should not have done. Honestly, my mistake."
Clare, who insisted that the two did not have sex, isn't buying it. Though she said Juan Pablo had the right to feel conflicted about what they did, she said that he's using his daughter, Camila, as an excuse.

"Maybe at that time he didn't know exactly what he was feeling and he just felt bad about it," she said. "But again, we swam in his pool in his room and to me, that was more questionable than swimming in the ocean! That was my struggle."
She also struggled with moving past the ordeal. Though she did not want to give up on Juan Pablo, she knew she had to try to readjust the way she looked at the man she was, at one point, falling in love with.
"It definitely set me back and took me back into my mind and took me out of my heart," she said. "It makes you question things more and it was something I didn't want to do.... I wanted to put myself into a situation with a man who wanted the same thing as me, and it did make me question it a little bit because I thought we were on the same page."

To that end, she said, next week, fans can expect to see her standing up for herself and asking more questions.
"I did nothing wrong. We did nothing wrong," she said. "I was more than willing to cut my losses."
