Dog Captures Owners' Wedding With a GoPro
— -- A Tennessee couple celebrated their one-year anniversary earlier this month by watching their wedding video recorded by their beloved pet dog Ryder.
Addie and Marshall Burnette's Siberian Husky captured intimate moments from the pair's wedding with a GoPro camera strapped to her back. The bride, 29, told ABC News that she and Marshall, 29, could not have chosen a better videographer.
"I thought it was great," Addie said. "It turned out even better than we expected. It was a fun surprise and we have no regrets at all about not getting a professional. She captured the best moments."
The 2-minute long video was edited by the groom, who works as a filmmaker, and set to the tune of "Spirit Cold" by the band Tall Heights. Marshall posted the video to YouTube and wrote that Ryder insisted on taping the ceremony herself.
"On November 2nd, 2014, Addie and I got married on the top of Roan Mountain, TN in 2 feet of snowy wonder," Marshall wrote. "It was cold and magical. Our dog, Ryder, insisted on filming the wedding video, so we let her do her thing. She took awhile to edit the footage, but we think she did a great job."
Addie said the two chose to elope three days before the private ceremony. Ryder documented the nuptials on the first snow day of the year. She can be seen leading the wedding party up the mountain.
"There was a moment where she came up to me as I was getting ready and she turned around and saw my reflection in the mirror. That's my favorite part," said Addie.
The couple will "definitely" turn to Ryder for more film-making projects in the future.
"Ryder is basically our child," Addie said. "We'll always plan on including her in everything."
