DHS Secretary Kristi Noem released from hospital after allergic reaction

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was released from a Washington, D.C., hospital Tuesday night after suffering an allergic reaction earlier in the day, a DHS spokesperson said.

Noem was taken by ambulance to the hospital "out of an abundance of caution," the spokesperson said Tuesday. "She is alert and recovering."

Noem's hospitalization was first reported by CNN.
