One raccoon was found passed out Saturday morning in the bathroom of a liquor store in Ashland, Virginia.

According to the Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter, authorities found the "masked bandit" collapsed in the bathroom of the Ashland ABC Store Saturday morning, where the furry burglar had ransacked shelves and drank multiple types of alcohol.

The raccoon had broken multiple bottles and seemingly drunk different types of alcohol before collapsing in the store's bathroom.

In a social media post, officials said they took the "very intoxicated" raccoon back to the shelter to sober up before releasing him back into the wild.

"After a few hours of sleep and zero signs of injury (other than maybe a hangover and poor life choices), he was safely released back to the wild, hopefully having learned that breaking and entering is not the answer," the Facebook post read.
