WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Wilbur, the runaway pig who was spotted scampering through a West Hollywood, California, neighborhood, has found a forever home.

The pig was captured in a now-viral video running loose over the weekend. He was eventually captured and taken to the West L.A. Animal Shelter but an owner didn't come forward to claim him.

On Thursday, four people showed up at the shelter in hopes of adopting him. Given the interest, a silent auction was held to determine who got to take him home.

Marcia Zwilling made the winning bid on behalf of none other than Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren.

"Diane saw the news clips and saw the little pig running in West Hollywood and she just called me and said, 'Please get the pig, get the pig!'," said Zwilling, managing director of the Diane Warren Foundation.

Wilbur will be calling a seven-acre animal sanctuary in Malibu home.

Zwilling said Wilbur will be living his best life along with other animal friends and eating gourmet salads every day.

"The pig is going to have a wonderful, wonderful home. The last time there was a runaway it was a cow that escaped a slaughterhouse if you remember that story and Diane saw it and said, 'get the pig. Save the pig,'" she said.

Warren is absolutely thrilled to welcome Wilbur home.

"I lose Oscars but I won a pig... it's fun. It's fun," Warren said.

Warren already has a pig named Wilbur at her animal sanctuary, so she is considering changing his name.

She thinks the name "Hollywood" would be a good fit.
