BROOKLYN, New York -- Hillary Clinton on Sunday agreed to participate in an upcoming debate hosted by ABC News' "Good Morning America" -- saying in an exclusive interview this morning, "I'll be there."

"I want a debate, and I'm confident that we can work out a time to do that," the Democratic presidential candidate told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos.

"'GMA' offered a debate during 'GMA' on Friday the 15th. I'll be there," she added. "I think it's a great opportunity to reach an audience that may not always be able because of other obligations to tune in to debates."

Bernie Sanders has not yet accepted ABC News' invitation to attend the "GMA" debate, which would be held on the morning of Friday, April 15. But during an interview on ABC News' "This Week" this morning, Sanders also said he was confident both sides would be able to reach an agreement.

"I suspect it will work out," he said.

The Sanders and Clinton campaigns have been at odds with each other over the past week as they have tried to negotiate a date for the two candidates to debate ahead of the New York primary on April 19.

Over the weekend, the Clinton campaign accused the Sanders campaign of playing "games" over the debate schedule and for rejecting three possible debate days.

"We offered dates, which they refused," Clinton told Stephanopoulos today. "I understand there's a debate in the works for the night of the 14th. I will be there."

George Stephanopoulos' full interview with Hillary Clinton airs Monday, April 4 on "Good Morning America.”
