Husband, In-Laws of Missing Ohio Mom Summer Inman Arrested

March 28, 2011 — -- A missing Ohio woman's estranged husband and his parents are in custody after witnesses spotted two men force her into a car driven by a bleach blonde woman, Logan Police said.

Summer Inman's estranged husband, William Inman II and his parents, William and Sandra Inman, will be arraigned on felony kidnapping charges this Wednesday.

The missing woman and her husband are separated and her Facebook page indicates that she is in a relationship with another man.

A photo taken from grainy surveillance video shows 25-year-old Summer Inman on the night she was kidnapped. The 5-foot-3 blonde is wearing a black t-shirt with her hair back in a ponytail. The t-shirt reads, "I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem."

Inman was working as a janitor at Century National Bank last Tuesday when she vanished from an alley behind the bank, police said.

At around 11 p.m., two men dressed in dark clothing exited their vehicle and forced a woman who police believe is Summer Inman into a white Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis, police said. They then drove away from the scene with a "beach blonde" woman behind the wheel.

Summer Inman's father, Michael Cook, reported his daughter missing.

"She's nowhere to be found," he can be heard saying on the 911 call acquired by ABC Affiliate WSYX. "We found her coat and her ipod."

When reached by phone, Cook said that Logan Police have asked family and friends to not talk to the media while the investigation is underway.

Police were initially unable to contact her husband, William Inman, but tracked him down Thursday, along with his parents.

The mother of Sandra Inman is devastated by the arrest of her daughter, son-in-law and grandson.

"How would any parent feel when they believe in their family...I don't believe it. I can't believe it," Martha Wagner told WSYX.

Inman and her husband are in the midst of a divorce, investigators said. Wagner said William Inman broke the news of the divorce to the couple's three young children.

"He said, let daddy tell you something, just because daddy and mommy ain't together no more, I'll always be your daddy and she'll always be your mommy," Wagner said. Summer Inman, 25, has been missing since last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a week into their search for Summer Inman, the Logan Police Department is widening its search area and bracing for the reality that she might not be found alive.

"Law enforcement has no specific information as to her location, and we know that as time goes by, the likelihood of recovering her alive is diminished," Logan police said in a statement to the Columbus Dispatch.
