Jeb Bush spokeswoman: ‘Gov. Bush will not be candidate for VP'

ByChris Moody
May 30, 2012, 2:07 PM

— -- The Italian news outlet Linkiesta claimed in an article this week to have interviewed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush this week about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, but Bush spokeswoman Jaryn Emhof told Yahoo News that no interview occurred, adding, "Bush will not be candidate for VP."

"Governor Bush hasn't done an interview with them," Emhof said in an email Wednesday. "The reporter pulled from some old U.S. news reports. I've asked the reporter to adjust his piece so it's clear he's reporting from US News, not an interview. Nothing has changed, Gov. Bush will not be candidate for VP."

Yahoo News published a blog post about the onerousness Linkiesta article. Our post has been corrected.
