'Jeopardy,' Man vs. Machine: Who Do You Think Will Win?

ByGood Morning America
February 14, 2011, 1:48 PM

Feb. 14, 2011 -- Tonight on "Jeopardy," IBM's computer, Watson, will take on two of the show's all-time greats, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter. It is a battle of man versus machine, the intellectual elite versus the technological elite.

Jennings won a record 74 shows in a row, Rutter holds the the winnings record with $3.25 million and Watson is years in the making.

"When IBM came to us 3½ years ago, there was a process through which we began to understand the importance of the technology that they were developing," said executive producer Harry Friedman. "That's what we found attractive — to be part of something that is a game-changer."

IBM has been a game-changer before, in 1997 its computer, Deep Blue, defeated chess champion Garry Kasparov, and now the company hopes Watson can achieve the same success.

Our question to you today: Who Do You Think Will Win, Man or Machine?
