Could Jesse James' Alleged Affair Send Child Back to Porn Star Ex-Wife?
March 22, 2010 — -- Could Jesse James' alleged affair with Michelle "Bombshell" McGee be a boon for his porn star ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, who's fighting James for custody of their daughter?
According to Lindemulder's husband, Jeremy Aikman, yes.
"Without a doubt, it's going to benefit the case," Aikman told ABCNews.com. "That just goes to show the guy's morals. I mean, what is he teaching his daughter?"
Lindemulder has a hearing coming up in her child custody case with James. Currently, he has full custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Sunny, whom he's raising with his Oscar-winning actress wife, Sandra Bullock. James sought custody of Sunny in part because he found Aikman, a convicted felon, and Lindemulder, who went to prison for tax evasion, unfit parental figures. But Sunny's custody arrangements could change come June 14.
"The hearing is for modification regarding child support or child visitation," a representative from the Orange County Superior Court told ABCNews.com. "Janine has not filed any paperwork."
ABCNews.com's requests for comment from representatives for James were not immediately returned.
James won full custody of Sunny in December. In November, the star of the Spike TV series "Jesse James Is a Dead Man" spoke out about the months-long bitter custody dispute.
"Sandra Bullock is not a party to this litigation," James' attorney, Marilyn Slifman, said in a statement to People magazine in November. "Mr. James' sole concern is for the safety, welfare and best interests of his daughter. The proper forum to resolve this case is in the courtroom."
Prior to that, Lindemulder went on "Good Morning America," pleading for her daughter and asking Bullock to back out of the case.
"What would give her the right to take away my daughter?" Lindemulder said. "You know, this is my daughter. I am the best mother I can be."
Lindemulder, who has appeared in more than 100 adult films, acknowledged making "horrific choices in the past," but says her life is back on track and that she deserves to keep custody of her daughter.
In a letter to the judge at Lindemulder's sentencing, Bullock raised concerns about the girl's safety, alleging that the child was left alone during the day while Lindemulder was "asleep from drug use."
