A man was arrested in Massachusetts Monday for breaking into the former residence of legendary football quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Officers responded to a radio call just before 6 a.m. for a residential alarm at the home in the town of Brookline, about 5 miles southwest of Boston. Multiple alarms were activated as public safety dispatchers monitored the suspect on a surveillance camera, according to a press release from the Brookline Police Department.

The suspect was sitting on the couch in the basement of the residence when officers arrived on scene, police said.

The officers arrested Zanini Cineus, 34, who previously lived in Brockton, Massachusetts, but is currently homeless.

Cineus faces charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, attempted larceny and trespassing, police said. He was expected to be arraigned in Brookline District Court later Monday.

The team's home, Gillette Stadium, is located in Foxborough.

This wasn't the first time Cineus had run afoul of the law in relation to Brady.

The district court in Wrentham, some 30 miles southwest of Brookline, had several active warrants out for Cineus' arrest stemming from incidents that occurred in the town of Foxborough late last year, according to police.

Cineus allegedly visited the New England Patriots Hall of Fame at Gillette Stadium in 2019 and removed a signed Brady jersey from the wall and walked out of the building, the Martin County, Florida, Sheriff's Office said. He was stopped and charged with trespassing, the sheriff's office said.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday that they received a call from Cineus' family members on Nov. 28 saying he was missing and endangered and then another call on Dec. 1 saying Cineus "had an obsession with Tom Brady." The sheriff's office notified authorities in Tampa, where Brady resides, but he was found at Brady's Brookline home instead.

Brady, 43, and Bundchen, 40, had lived at the home with their three children while Brady was playing for the New England Patriots. The star quarterback was drafted by the NFL team in 2000 and subsequently led them to 12 AFC championship games, eight Super Bowls and a record six Super Bowl titles.

Brady and his family moved to Florida earlier this year, after he signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
