Meet the humanoid robot that just set a new world walking record

One robot just walked its way into history.
Chinese robotics company AgiBot has set a new world record for the longest distance walked by a humanoid robot with their bipedal automaton named A2, per the Guinness World Records.
From Nov. 10-13, A2 walked 66.04 miles from Jinji Lake in Suzhou, China, to the North Bund area in Shanghai, according to Guinness and AgiBot.
The journey is equivalent to over 2.5 full marathons.

"It traversed complex routes including urban areas, national highways and bridges, overcoming challenges like day-night alternation and low-light environments. Running continuously without shutdown!" according to AgiBot's YouTube page.
The droid is over 5 feet tall and weighs over 150 pounds, according to AgiBot.

"AgiBot A2 delivers a highly natural and comfortable human-robot interaction experience, making it ideal for roles such as marketing and customer service, exhibition hall presentations, supermarket guidance, front desk reception, and business inquiries," AgiBot's website reads.
Moreover, A2 can have real conversations in multiple languages powered by AI that can help with work tasks, per AgiBot.
Videos of A2 shows the robot blinking and winking with an led-powered face display, as the robots get coffees for humans and play and dance in a band.
"I look forward to taking on more challenges in the future! See you next time!," A2 said at the end of its historic walk.
AgiBot was founded in 2023 to build "general-purpose embodied robots" with AI, per their company website.
AgiBot did not immediately respond to a request for comment from ABC News.
