Hurricane Dorian shutters airports in Florida, Carolinas: See the latest closures

As Hurricane Dorian moves into the Southeast, numerous airports have announced closures.

Over 3,000 flights were canceled within the U.S. from Monday to Tuesday. Wednesday has already seen over 980 cancellations, with Orlando International Airport impacted the most.

Here are the airports closures as of Wednesday:

Florida

-- Jacksonville International Airport (remaining Wednesday flights are canceled)

-- Cecil Airport (VQQ) (expected to reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.)

-- Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (FHB) (expected to reopen Friday at noon)

-- Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) (expected to reopen Thursday at 7 a.m.)

-- Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport (CRG) (expected to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.)

-- Daytona Beach Intl (DAB) (expected to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.)

-- Orlando Melbourne Int'l Airport (MLB) (expected to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.)

-- Northeast Florida Regional Airport (SGJ) (expected to reopen Thursday at 8 a.m.)

South Carolina

-- Charleston International Airport will stop operations Wednesday at 3 p.m. and resume on Friday

North Carolina

-- Wilmington International Airport (ILM) will stop commercial flights Wednesday at 9 p.m. (plans to reopen Friday morning)

Bahamas

-- Marsh Harbour (MHH)

-- South Bimini (BIM)

-- North Eleuthera (ELH)

-- Grand Bahama Int'l(FPO)
