Oregon Highway Bus Crash Caused by Dropped Water Bottle

— -- The bus crash on an Oregon highway Saturday that injured three people started with a dropped water bottle, police said today.
A 2011 Freightliner bus was heading south on Interstate 5 in Marion County Saturday morning when the driver, Jack Heisler, dropped a water bottle, Oregon State Police said in a news release.
Heisler, 72, tried to pick up the water bottle and lost control, passengers told police.
The bus crossed the center median, broke through the barrier and crossed into the northbound lane, police said. The bus then left the roadway and rolled onto its side.
The driver and two passengers were hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.
The bus is registered to HUT Transport, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
