Search underway for man named person of interest in ex's killing
A manhunt is underway for a man who has been identified as a person of interest in the killing of a woman he had a previous relationship with.
Authorities are searching for 33-year-old Matthew Allen Waggle in the shooting death of a woman in Florida on Sunday, according to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities believe he is out of the Vero Beach area. A nationwide be on the lookout alert has been issued for Waggle, according to the sheriff's department.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Dawn Kriskewic, the sheriff's office said. Authorities confirmed to ABC News that Kriskewic had a previous relationship with Waggle.
Deputies responded to a call reporting a woman in a street on Sunday to find a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and immediately began life-saving measures, according to the sheriff's office.
The victim was taken to a local trauma center, where she was pronounced dead, the sheriff's office said.
Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crime or knows anything about the incident to come forward.
"If you have seen Matthew Allen Waggle or know his whereabouts, do not approach him. Contact 911 immediately," the sheriff's office said.
